How can hydrogen be made sustainable? On 22 September, I chaired the meeting of the German-Russian working group “Hydrogen Import Regulation” together with Dr Hoffmann (Ostauschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft).
In a productive exchange of views, we discussed sustainability criteria that go beyond the CO2 footprint and various technical aspects, including the classification of purity for the technical regulation of hydrogen utilisation, with our Russian colleagues from Gazprom, Novatek and Rosatom, among others, but also with representatives of important German companies and organisations.
I would like to thank all the company representatives for their very professional input and the development of the follow-up.
